Changing your plan
Add machines, move between afk and Business, invite people for nothing, switch to yearly, or stop — all from the billing screen.
billing is the workspace's plan and the card behind it.
Adding a machine
You do not add a seat here — you connect a machine, and the seat comes with it.
See your first machine. The screen quotes the exact
prorated figure before anything is charged.
Removing one
Disconnect it, and the seat frees immediately — another machine can take
that seat at no charge, so swapping a dead server costs nothing.
What it does not do is make this month cheaper. A bill never goes down inside
a period you have already paid for. The seat stays paid for until that period
ends and drops off at the renewal. If what you want is to stop paying, that is

Adding a person
On Business, nothing happens to the bill. People are free: an invitation is
not quoted, not charged, and does not raise anything at the renewal either.
On afk there is nobody to add — it is a plan for one person, and the invite
dialog offers Business rather than a checkout. See
inviting people.
Removing somebody costs nothing and refunds nothing, for the same reason —
they were never on the bill.
afk to Business
From billing, like any other change, and it happens now: it takes nothing
away, so the processor prorates it against the period you have already paid for.
The machines you have keep the price they had — on Business the next machine is
afk's price — and the team screen starts taking invitations the same day.
Going back to afk is the other direction, and it waits: see below.
Monthly to yearly
Also from billing. Yearly is cheaper and is charged once, in advance.
The first three months are half price
On a monthly plan, the first three months are half price — a machine on afk,
the base on Business — and then it is the full price. It applies once to a
workspace, to the monthly plan, and the billing screen says which month you are
in. The yearly plan is already
the lower price, so it does not carry the discount.
Going the other way waits for the renewal
A change that takes nothing away happens now — monthly to yearly, or afk to
Business, prorated on the spot. A change that does is scheduled: yearly to
monthly, or Business back to afk, is written down and applied at your next
renewal.
You keep what you are paying for until then. The billing screen says what is
scheduled and lets you call it off. Nothing is refunded for a period you have
already had.
The card
Held by our payment processor, not by us. Changing it, and getting invoices and
receipts, happens on their pages — the billing screen links you there.
Stopping
Cancel from the billing screen. What happens next:
- The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- After that, your machines stop being openable from the panel.
- The machines themselves, and everything on them, are still yours. Nothing
is deleted, nothing is stopped, no data goes anywhere.

If a payment fails
Two days. The workspace keeps working exactly as it did, machines and all,
for two days past the end of the period that was not paid for. Fix the card and
everything is back, with nothing to press.
After that the door closes — and only the door. It is the same state as
when a subscription lapses.
